National Restoration Party (NAREP) Secretary General John Phiri says his party is delighted with the formation of the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Coalition established to monitor elections.
Phiri said the collation is good, but wondered why the Movement for Multi-party Democracy is panicking and accusing the coalition of being formed to support the opposition.
He said the CSOs should not be intimidated by Government but strive to work for the good of the Zambian people ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Meanwhile, former Patriotic Front Secretary General Edward Mumbi has cautioned citizens not to be swayed by the coalition.
Mumbi accused the CSOs of working with the opposition to obtain rewards in the event that they win the polls.
He further urged Zambians not to take such organizations seriously as thy will only cause unnecessary tension in the country.
