National Restoration Party (NAREP) has reiterated its calls for issue based campaigns as the nation goes to the polls later this year.
In an interview with Yatsani Radio, NAREP President Elias Chipimo said politicians should have the interests of the electorate at heart and not just consider what they stand to gain.
Furthermore, Senior Chief Mumena of the Mumena Royal Establishment said campaigns should focus on development as citizens are tired of politics of character assassination.
Mumena appealed to aspiring candidates to come up with roadmaps for developing the country as this is the only way to promote econimc development.
Meanwhile, Chief Nalubamba of Namwala District has challenged the President Rupiah Banda regime to embrace constructive criticism in order to foster development.
The traditional ruler added that it is wrong for Government to consider those giving advice on pending issues of national development as enemies
