Minister of Transport, Works, Supply and Communication Christopher Yaluma said currently Government is looking at a suitable model to use in a bid to set up a national carrier.
“Yes indeed we need to have our national airline and plans are very advanced and we have a lot of people who have approached us to come and establish it.”Mr Yaluma said.
He was speaking in an interview in Lusaka yesterday.
Mr Yaluma said so far Government has received numerous interests from local and foreign investors interested to set up a national courier.
Recently President Sata said Zambia urgently needed a national airline and has invited international airlines to partner with government in setting up a national carrier.
