Nawakwi says Zambia can’t afford civil strife

Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) President Edith Nawakwi has urged citizens to maintain peace and unity as the country goes to the polls later this year.

Nawakwi told  Yatsani Radio that the nation cannot afford to have a civil strife as it will destabilize the state.

She challenged the male folk in authority to speak out against violence, adding that it is disheartening that women are the major victims of most forms of violence.

The FDD leader appealed to all peace loving Zambians to ensure elections are not only free and fair but are held in a peaceful environment.
