NDC National Youth Chairperson Charles Kabwita has been granted bail by the Kitwe Magistrate court.
Kabwita is facing one count of conduct likely to cause breach of peace and pleaded not guilty when the matter came up this morning.
Kabwita who appeared to be in a high spirit was accompanied to court by NDC Secretary General Mwenya Musenge and party consultant Chishimba Kambwili. The matter has since been adjourned to 9th March 2018 for commencement of trial.
He was arrested by the PF abused police on Saturday after an altercation at a restaurant with PF National Youth Chairperson and Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo and Minister of Planning Alexander Chiteme. He is alleged to have mocked them that they should not be eating from cheap restaurants because they have stolen a lot of public money.
