Embattled MMD President Nevers Mumba was by 17 hours local time chairing a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting bankrolled by State House.
The Main objective of the meeting is to suspend several members of the party that are in support of holding of the National Convention.
Intelligence sources have disclosed that each NEC Member that will support the suspension of party members has been paid K20,000 cash.
” The meeting is taking place just now. It was supposed to be yesterday but Mumba was in Mkushi and Kapiri so he did not pick up the money from State House the other day,” the source said.
The source said the embattled Pastor had to wait the whole day yesterday at State House waiting for President Lungu who was at Cabinet meeting at Mulungushi Conference Centre.
“Nevers spent most of the day at State House waiting for the President who was at Cabinet meeting at Mulungushi Conference Centre. So the President sent Kaizer Zulu to attend to him and that is how he was given the money,” the source said.
