Nevers Mumba wonders why Sata feels threatened by him

Former Vice President Nevers Mumba has challenged President Michael Sata to state whether he (Mumba) is a threat to him or not.

Mumba wondered why President Sata has channelled his state machinery on him instead of focusing on building and uniting the nation.

Mumba who is also aspiring Presidential candidate of opposition Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) says PF has no history to fight corruption evident in their actions.

Mumba who quoted the Bible saying that it clearly states that you shall know them by their fruits said Zambians are seeing that the PF government is not committed and has no record of fighting corruption.

He also told President Sata not to champion the removal of Former President Rupiah Banda’s immunity as he said it is a bad precedent for the nation.

Mumba proposed that if it happens that the immunity of Mr. Banda is removed, then it should be removed from the Republican Constitution.

And Mumba has said that it is wrong for President Sata to be targeting institutions were privatized by the MMD government as it creates fear in investors wishing to invest in Zambia.

He mentioned the repossession of Zamtel and now the intentions to investigate ZANACO  as some of the investor scaring ventures by President Sata and the PF government.

The former Diplomat also wondered whether Zambia will remain a Lower Middle Income country with the PF in power as he defended his statement that the PF government has not brought any major development that Zambia can boast about.

He was speaking on Zambezi radio in Livingstone.
