Newly elected PF MP for Zambezi West, Christabel Ngimbu has ditched her husband Brian Mukuyu, a few days after being elected.
Family sources say Ngimbu has now opted for a named senior PF official and ditched her husband of many years after winning elections fraudulently.
The husband is the co-owner of the only filing station in Zambezi West which she had banned opposition political parties from buying fuel.
According to family members and Luvale elders, Ngimbu has been bragging to people there that she will soon be appointed a minister by president Michael Sata and so she cannot keep such a husband.
“Apparently Ngimbu ditched her husband while on their way to Lusaka for the ceremonial opening of parliament. Upon reaching Kabwe she told her husband to return to Zambezi. She told him she had no use for him and that the marriage was over forthwith. The man protested but in vain and was forced to drive back to Zambezi, while Ngimbu used other means of transport to Parliament motel,” family sources said.
Sources said this was not the first time Ngimbu had treated the husband like this each time she was on her way up.
“She did the same when she was appointed a diplomat to Italy as the poor husband was disbanded and told to remain in Zambezi. She only allowed him to join her after some PF officials told her she could not stay in Italy alone. A few months later she was dropped as a diplomat as she was incompetent even by PF standards,” family sources have disclosed
