No drugs at UTH

Patients at the University Teaching Hospital have complained of lack of drugs at the nation’s biggest referral hospital.

One of the parents complained that her daughter was injured on Saturday and took her to Matero Clinic and was in severe pains.

At Matero Clinic, they referred her to UTH without giving her any drugs not even panadol to relieve the pain.

At UTH, an x-ray was done but after that they could also not give her any medication but instead gave her a medical prescription to buy own painkillers such as brufen and Panadols.

The medical personal complained that they had run out of drugs, even common ones such as painkillers.

This situation is common almost throughout the country’s major hospitals and clinics.
