No money for CBU students

The Bursaries Committee has no money to assist poor students at the Copperbelt University, the Watchdog has been informed.
The next academic year starts on April 20, 2015. First year students are supposed to report at CBU but the Bursaries Committee has not even advertised for needy students to apply.
Sources at the Bursaries Committee in Lusaka have revealed that their bank accounts are empty and that they have no idea when government would release the funding.
Yet, president Edgar Lungu and a huge delegation is staring a 10 days tour to Asia.
Just last week, Lungu and Rupiah Banda and others, using millions of taxpayers’ money again, were in Namibia to drink wine.
