Now Mkushi Central MMD MP also defects to PF creating a by-election

MMD Mkushi Central MP Musonda Mutale has resigned from his party to join the ruling PF, thereby creating a fifth by-election within a space of one month.

The resignation of Mr. Mutale is part of the ruling PF strategy of wanting to create a one party state and reach more than 106 parliamentary majority needed to manipulate the Zambian constitution and other laws in parliament.

The PF induced by-elections have so far been widely condemned by various stakeholders as they are a drain to the national treasury.

The Catholic Church that supported PF in the run-up to 2011 General elections recently issued a strongly worded statement urging their members to vote against the defecting MPs.
