The ruling PF is organising and transporting members from Lusaka to go and stage protests in Livingstone Today (Wednesday) over the death of their member Henry Chanda.
PF insiders have have disclosed that the aim of the protest is to blame UPND and particularly its leader Hakainde Hichilema over the death of the cadre who was imported from another town.
It is alleged that drunk PF cadres on Monday drove to the UPND camp in Mosi-o-Tunya area and started throwing stones and other weapons at the UPND campaign center at the time the UPND team were having their meals resulting in the confrontation.
This is the second time a PF cadre imported from a different town is getting himself killed in a by-election.
In November last year, Menyani Zulu, a member of the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) was killed in Rufunsa during a bye-election.
Menyani was imported from Lusaka by PF senior officials and UPND officials were again arrested but now it is Menyani’s family feeling the pain as the PF leaders have forgotten about them.
