Now police pick shareholders of Daily Nation newspaper

A combined team of state security agents have picked up two directors of the Daily Nation Newspapers for interrogations at Lusaka Division Headquarters in connection with a story that also led to the arrest of the Newspaper’s Chief Executive officer Richard Sakala, Production Editor Simon Mwanza and Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) Executive Director MacDonald Chipenzi.

The two directors were picked up after an extensive search was conducted at their various homes early Saturday  morning. The Directors namely, Pastor Max Nyirongo and Horace Kamanga were by 17 hours local time under going serious interrogations at Lusaka division headquarters room E3 and are likely to be detained over tramped up charges.

This arrest comes after Police last night went to Patents and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA) and printed the print out for Daily Nation Newspapers.The motive of the search was to find out whether former President Rupiah Banda is one of the directors of the up coming Newspaper.
