Nyambe Mulenga ruled out of 2015 AFCON after accident

Chipolopolo central defender Nyambe Mulenga has been ruled out of the Equatorial Guinea AFCON following a road traffic accident on Sunday morning.
Nyambe was travelling to Lusaka from the Copperbelt with several other players from junior national teams who got a lift on a Zesco united bus.
The players were going to Lusaka to join the senior national team camp ahead of the January AFCON tournament when the bus collided with a Mitsubishi Pajero that lost control near Green Restaurant in Kabwe.
Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) General Secretary George Kasengele said Nyambe suffered a fractured left leg and several lacerations on the body while Changwe Kalale of Power Dynamos suffered a fracture on the left leg, a deep cut on the head and a broken right arm. Satchmo Chakawa of Green Eagles suffered a ruptured spleen and bladder and was reported to be in a serious but stable condition.
The trio is admitted in Kabwe General Hospital.
In August 2009 Nyambe suffered a knee injury in a friendly game with Ghana which kept him out of action for six months.
Nyambe had a successful surgery in India and after completing physiotherapy he regained his place in the Chipolopolo starting line up and was part of the 2012 AFCON winning squad.
Nyambe is expected to be out of action for 12 weeks.
