So far only Zimbabwean dictator Robert Mugabe is the only head of state, even a failed, one who has arrived to witness the inauguration of forged president Edgar Lungu.
Meanwhile, the Watchdog understands that Uganda’s current Idi Amin Yoweri Museveni might not travel to Zambia as he fears a coup in Uganda if he travels out. Museveni fears that he could even be assassinated or his plane blown off on his way to Zambia. From the time Museveni rigged the last elections, he has been living in fear and rarely leaves the country.
Museveni might still pop up but leave secretly after a few hours.
The PF regime has been announcing that a lot of presidents, among them Tanzania’s president John Magufuli and the Canadian leader Justin Pierre James Trudeau, Botswana president Ian Khama will be arriving in Zambia.
But it has now been confirmed that Magufuli won’t come. It’s not clear if Ian Khama will travel to Zambia but so far he has not started off.
The SADC chairman and King of Swaziland Mswati is not coming. The chairperson of the AU, Idriss Deby Itno of Chad has also stayed away despite announcements by the PF that the leaders of these supranational organisations will be in Zambia to clap for Lungu.
Other countries have sent bored vice-presidents such Kenya’s William Ruto who is always in Zambia anyway.
Even Malawi’s Peter Mutharika has better things to do though Lungu was there for him when he was sworn in Malawi.
China has sent a low key communist party functionary.
The President of Namibia turned down the invitation.
A number of UPND traitors are likely to attend.
