Former finance minister Ng’andu Magande has charged that it is possible for the opposition in Zambia to win this year’s general elections.
Mr. Magande who is National Movement for Progress President has however, observed that for the opposition in the country to win elections, there is need to engage in issue based politics.
Speaking last evening on QFM’s premier programme Monday Nite Live, Mr. Magande observed that most politicians in the country have run out of ideas.
He says that certain politicians are fatigued and have nothing new to offer the people of Zambia.
Mr Magande states that the opposition political parties should ensure that they focus on issues that are directly affecting the people of Zambia.
Mr. Magande further says that his party,is ready to offer its services once voted into government.
And Mr. Magande says that the Rupiah Banda led government has lost ideas on how to run the country.
Mr. Magande says tall the achievements that the current government is boasting about are all because of the Late President Levy Mwanawasa’s administration.
The former finance minister has since challenged the current administration to state which development ideas they have initiated.
