Patricia Nawa joins UPND as HH goes for RB

The United Party for National Development (UPND)  is sad tha president Rupia Banda is enjoying his holiday in Mfuwe, while Zambians are living in abject poverty and can’t afford to eat a decent meal on Christmas.

Speaking on Sunday when he received some members from the ruling party into UPND , party president Hakainde Hichilema said the writing is on the wall that MMD is exiting power in 2011.
“There is too much suffering in this country. People have no food, they can’t find money to pay house rentals and school fees and let alone meet health costs.

“Why is food not affordable? Because the Government is not supporting the farmer to lower food production costs.

This includes critical inputs such as seed and fertilizer which are beyond the reach of many Zambians,” said Hichilema.
He said  the pact is unstoppable and nothing shall stop it in 2011.
Among the defectors are former gender minister Patricia Mulasikwanda and former FDD Mandevu MP Patricia Nawa.
