People who don’t sing national anthem to be arrested

The PF gathering called National Dialogue Forum has continued fighting God and the people of Zambia. Now they want Christians to get police permits in order to meet for prayers. This is what they mean when they say they are amending the Public Order Act.

The NDF also wants people who don’t sing the national anthem to be arrested. This is targeted at Jehovah’s witnesses.

What effect does not singing the national anthem have on the economy? Will singing it create employment? Bring the prices of mealie meal down? Bring dollar to K3? Remove all thieves from government? Stupid idiots.

Thousands of my relatives are Jehovah’s Witnesses, and do not sing the National Anthem. In the early 1960s, a lot of Jehovah’s Witnesses’s children were expelled from schools for refusing to sing the National Anthem. Many lived to regret. But in this 21st Century where we have embraced all forms of democracy and freedoms, such harsh methods of coercing people should not be allowed. After all, abstaining from singing the National Anthem does not cause any harm to society for someone to be punished.

African politicians never learn. Authoritarian rulers always end badly because no one cares what happens to them at the end. It’s easy to feel too powerful but no one rules forever. Better to stop this nonsense now

I do not see anything wrong with that. Even in mature democracies not singing the National Anthem is a problem. Also, these gatherings need Police permits – human behavior has to be controlled. Try to have a gathering in the West without a Police Permit and let’s see how you will be treated.

@ Abilima…please stop being such a stupid, iliterate and musinformed fool. When in the mature demicracies does one need a permit for prayer meetings. Next churches will require permits to hold church services. Singing of national anthem cannot be compusory. This rotten government must stop infringing on people’s rights. This is really stupid considering the many social problems they should be focusing on.

In the United States many gatherings take place every day without police presence. Movies, stage plays, church groups. That’s just 3 regular public gatherings that do not have police presence.

iwe dont support stupid things. these so rules start out small eventually lead to loss of freedom of expression. do you even know that children are not allowed to pray in public? a child is taught to pray before eating but when he goes to school, he must put his faith aside for fear of prosecution, how do you think that started?

our leaders are learning and adopting things without understanding the repercussions.
