PF cadres in Petauke have vowed not to vote for former MP Dora Siliya whom they accuse of being a hijacker, while maintaining to vote for President Edgar Lungu, they said they will vote for the independent candidate Emmanuel “JJ” Banda.
The cadres said that Siliya was an outsider who WS only being imposed on the party by PF. They said that even Lungu is aware and agrees with their choice of Banda.
“Dora is an outsider and she has failed to bring development since being elected even under MMD. We only gave her a vote for her to complete the term which she dubiously won under MMD in 2011 and she even told us that she won’t recontested the seat in 2016,” said a senior PF district official.
And in an act of double dealing, Lungu is reportedly financing Banda’s campaigns. Some three campaign vehicles have been offered to him but the President doesn’t want his master, former President Rupiah Banda to know the scheme.
Meanwhile there was an intra PF fracas on Monday when thugs financed by Siliya went wild tearing down Banda’s posters. The thugs also went to harass journalists at the privately owned Explorer radio station where JJ was expected to feature.
