The Patriotic Front -PF says it will continue to rally behind its pact partner the UPND in the ongoing legal battle over the validity of the Mufumbwe parliamentary by-election results.
The PF says Mufumbwe is legitimately held by the UPND and that the party will rally behind its partner should there be a re-run of the election. This is contained in a statement released to ZNBC news and signed by PF Vice President Guy Scot and Party Spokesperson Given Lubinda. The Mufumbwe by-election results which declared UPND’s Elliot Kamondo as MP have been nullified following a petition by MMD’s Mulondwe Muzungu on grounds that the poll was characterized by violence.
