An unidentified PF cadre who was one of the many cadres being transported to witness President Edgar Lungu’s launch at Heroes stadium last night died when the vehicle he was in lost control and plunged into a tree.
The accident involving a Toyota Noah vehicle happened in Manyumbi area where the 25 Wada Chovu victims were sacrificed last month.
Other people in the Noah registration number AFB 300 including the driver sustained serious injuries and have been transferred to UTH.
PF regalia and bottles of beer were found at the scene but were quickly removed in an exercise to conceal the accident.
Meanwhile government has lost colossal sums of money through illegal purchase of fuel that was drawn on government account to ferry cadres from all over the country to the PF rally in Lusaka.
