Twelve Patriotic Front (PF) supporters are detained by police in Mpulungu.
The cadres were arrested after they allegedly tried to disrupt a campaign rally addressed by vice-president George Kunda on Sunday.
Later the cadres tried to block Kunda’s motorcade by mounting a boat on his route from Namukolo basic school.
Kunda was in Mpulungu to campaign for the MMD candidate in the bye-election following the death of MP Lameck Chibombamilimo.
Kunda has since left Mpulungu for Chilanga where he is campaigning.
