PF continue with vote-buying exercise in up-coming bye-elections

The ruling Patriotic Front (PF) has mobilized earth-moving equipment and food distribution in areas where bye-elections will be taking place on 5th July.

In Chama North and Muchinga constituencies, ceremonial vice-president, Sata’s ‘chola boy’ Guy Scott personally ordered his office under Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) to hurry the road maintenance and food distribution.

Sources have told the Watchdog that the ‘development’ projects are being spearheaded by council officials at district level with a view to win votes.

Chola boy Scott is reportedly moving with a huge convoy of GRZ vehicles ordering councils to immediately start grading roads and food distribution.

Dr. Scott was recently caught donating K13 million cash at a public rally in Livingstone, another place where a bye-election will be held.

But the same ‘chola boy’ Scott in Livingstone told Kasiya residents that his office could not send relief food to them now as it may be seen as vote buying.

Scott said the relief food could not be released before the by-election as opposition political parties will consider the move as a ploy by the ruling party to buy votes from the people in the area.
