PF dissolves East, Copperbelt committees after loss

The Patriotic Front (PF) has with immediate effect dissolved the Eastern and Copperbelt Provincial Executive Committees following the defeat they suffered at the hands of the opposition.

The PF did not take the lost lightly and has been fighting and pointing accusing fingers at each other.

But the dissolution of committees, especially in Eastern Province is likely to affect the don’t kubeba evil movement negatively. Three more by-elections will be held in Eastern province very soon and the change of local leaders will certainly affect the campaigns.

Though no one wants to attack him directly or at least in public, most PF senior officials blame Home Affairs minister Edgar Lungu for the loss. He was the campaign manager.

As for Kabimba, he is said to be secretly happy that PF lost the Chipata seat as he was against the adoption of Lameck Mangani. Mangani was imposed on the PF by Fred M’embe to thank his after he used him as a mole when he was a minister in the Rupiah Banda administration.

Kabimba had his own candidate who gave him money so that he can adopt him.

Kabimba did not go to Chipata to campaign.

PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba announced the dissolution of the Eastern and Copperblet PF committees in Lusaka on Saturday August 3.2013.

Kabimba who is also Justice Minister had warned on Friday that the party would deal harshly with traitors within its rank.

He said the ruling party had learnt lessons from the by-elections and promised to hit back at traitors and those who were acting in treacherous manners.

The PF Secretary General also accused people who were not adopted in the just ended by-elections of not supporting those who were adopted hence the party losing the by-elections.

The PF lost three of the four by-elections that was held on July 25, 2013.
