MMD Presidential candidate Nevers Mumba has suspended his Southern Province campaign tour in honor of the death of former Vice President George Kunda.
Pastor Mumba announced the suspension of his campaigns in Livingstone on Tuesday morning.
“I have decided to suspend my camping in the province in honor of the sad development of the death of Mr. George Kunda”, he said.
Pastor Mumba who described Mr. Kunda as a great leader said that the party and the nation will miss his stance in parliament.
He said that Mr. Kunda was a dedicated public officer and hardworking person who contributed to the democracy on the country.
He also appealed to the Patriotic Front (PF) Government and Zambians to learn to love one another not only when someone has died adding that politics should not divide Zambians.
And Pastor Mumba has observed that the Patriotic Front (PF) will not last in Government for more than five years because of the way it is handling the country’s affairs.
Pastor Nevers Mumba says that the PF is full of mistakes and has bad language towards citizens.
Speaking when he addressed MMD supporters and sympathizers in Livingstone on Tuesday, Pastor Mumba said that Zambians are missing the MMD because the PF has failed to deliver on its promises.
He assured the MMD supporters and sympathizers that when the PF begin choosing a candidate to take over from President Sata, it will be a crisis because it does not have intelligent leadership.
Pastor Mumba boosted of MMD having a great leadership qualities as compared to the PF.
He also encouraged his members to know that losing an election to the PF is temporal especially the MMD is the biggest opposition party in the country.
