PF government sending soldiers to Mongu ahead of Barotse national meeting

The government is sending troops of soldiers to Mongu in Barotseland ahead of the Barotse national council which takes place in the next few days.

The Barotse National Council will take place at Limulunga, the Litunga’s palace starting next weekend but its culmination will be on 26th March when resolutions will be made.

But for some reason, Para-military officers from Zambia Police and Army have been arriving in Barotseland since the 16th March, 2012.

Trucks carrying soldiers have been seen arriving in Mongu in the past four days. Other soldiers and police officers dressed as civilian were seen arriving on several buses from Lusaka.

The agenda of the Barotseland agreement will be top on the agenda as thousands of people of Western province will be meeting.
