PF govt postpones CBU opening, no money for bursaries and salaries

As predicted by the Watchdog, the bankrupt PF government has now postponed the opening of Copperbelt University (CBU) from this month to tentatively sometime in June.

The PF have no money for both returning students bursaries and first years as well for salaries for CBU employees.

So far PF have failed to pay University of Zambia lecturers and supporting stuff and have not even advertised for first-year student bursaries for CBU students.

Highly placed sources from Ministry of Finance revealed that the PF government was totally bankrupt and fear that re-opening CBU will just cause riots as lecturers have vowed never to attend to the students.

The situation is even worse for other grant-aided institutions such as Evelyn Hone College as the PF spent all the money in corrupt road and other construction projects.

Even security wings such as the Zambia Army are now having their salaries delayed and morale is reportedly very low.
