PF keeps upnd cadres in prison, disregarding the court’s bail

In a total contempt of court, the PF government has directed that the 48 UPND cadres who were in prison for framed charges of arson and riotous behaviour continue to be kept in jail in spite the court granting them bail this morning.

State prosecutor Joshua Njovu is currently embroiled in an argument with the cadres’ lawyer Joseph Akafumba.

Njovu is implementing Jean Kapata’s directive to keep the cadres in prison, and by so doing they hope they would annoy many people and expect riots so that they arrest some more people.
