PF leadership entertaining violence-Masebo

Chongwe Member of Parliament Silvia Masebo has told Parliament Tuesday afternoon that the Patriotic Front leaders were entertaining the violence being exhibited by their cadres.
Masebo warned that if the Patriotic Front leadership fails to control the cadres they themselves will soon fail to even go for a football match in fear of their own cadres.
“We are to blame for the violence happening, it did not happen during Rupiah Banda and Mwanawasa’s time but we ourselves are entertaining the violence,” Masebo observed.
Masebo was referring to the violence that took place in Livingstone on Monday in the presence of their Party Secretary General and Defense Minister Edgar Lungu who watched helplessly as his cadres clobbered each other.
Meanwhile, Katuba Member of Parliament Jonas Shakafuswa has appealed to Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda not to be blackmailed by Fred Mmembe but ensure that the DBZ loan and tax owed to the Zambia Revenue Authority is paid back.
Shakafuswa said the Post should not blackmail Chikwanda just because they supported the Patriotic Front in opposition adding that Chikwanda should pursue them even if they send their reporters to tap his lines again.
“The Post should not be allowed to blackmail Chikwanda, you go ahead and collect our money for Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) and Development Bank of Zambia, (DBZ) Shakafuswa said.
