PF leading in Mansa, fails to win any ward in Kasempa

The Patriotic Front is set to retain the Mansa parliamentary seat.
PF candidate Chitalu Chilufya was by 23 hours and with most votes counted leading by a huge margin.
The figures will be posted here later.
But in Northwestern province where some local government by-elections were also held today, the ruling party failed to win any.
Instead, the opposition UPND won two of them while MMD retained one.
The local government by-elections in Kasempa district were caused by the PF which paid the councilors from MMD to defect to the ruling party.
All the three re-contested their former seats under the PF but lost.
