Copperbelt Minister Mwenya Musenge and Sports Deputy Minister Ronald Chitolela almost exchanged blows at parliament on Wednesday evening.
The fight started when Chitotela confronted and accused Musenge of being a senior member of the Democratic Front (DF).
In return Musenge told Chitotela that ‘I will beat you chikala’ and charged towards Chitotela to ‘sort him out’. After being restrained from physically harming the loud mouthed and generally ill=mannered Chitotele, Musenge shouted that Chitotela is one of the people misleading outgoing President Edgar Lungu on the status of the party.
” It was extremely tense. I heard everything and I can tell you that PF will be extinguished when Parliament is dissolved. Now I believe when some people say PF was Sata and Sata was PF,’ the source said.
The source further said both ministers declared ‘their territories’ no go areas for the other..
” Chitotela told Musenge that Luapula was a no go area for DF and Musenge told Chitotela that Copperbelt was no go area for PF. It was very embarrassing.” the source said.
Despite public denials, a lot of PF MPs will defect to either DF or UPND when parliament is dissolved. Most of the MPs are still in PF just for the money but will jump ship once parliament is dissolved.
