PF MPs recorded scheming to order speaker suspend UPND MPs then pass new constitution

A secretly recorded audio has exposed PF members of parliament in a caucus agreeing on what Speaker of the National Assembly Dr Patrick Matibini should do to UPND MPs who shunned President Edgar Lungu’s national address.
The Members of Parliament, led by Justice Minister Given Lubinda agreed to form a committee comprising MMD, FDD and Independent representatives in the House, which committee would compel Speaker Matibini to suspend all UPND MPs for upto a year.
Other members are heard proposing that during the period under which the UPND would be suspended from the House, the PF would then pass another Constitution befitting their
 interests.
In this 12 minutes audio, the members of Parliament emotionally exchanged bitter views about what the Speaker should do to the opposition members in the House Today.
