The body of the Chinese national who died during miners’ protest at Sinazongwe’s Collum coal mine a few weeks ago has
been transported to Choma.
The body was escorted to Choma by Sinazongwe District Commissioner Dodo Sindaza and Chief Sinazongwe with members of the Chinese community.
The body was received at Choma general hospital by District Commissioner Golden Nyambe.
Both Mr Sindaza and Mr Nyambe told ZANIS at Choma general hospital this morning that Wu Shangzai’s body has been taken to Choma for postmortem and cremation.
And the deceased’s brother Wu Guojin told ZANIS the deceased’s body will be cremated in Choma today after an autopsy has been performed.
He said the remains will then be transported to China on 24th August 2012 for burial.
The Chinese Supervisor was killed by accident when miners protested over the minimum wage.
