PF orders soldiers to dig water for cadres at Mulungushi university

Mulungushi University in Kabwe was closed a few weeks ago due to lack of water.
But the PF will use the university facilities to accommodate their cadres for the general conference set for next Saturday.

This morning, over 10 excavators from Chindwin Barracks were taken Mulungushi to University to dig water just for the PF delegates.

Before the university was shut, police and students fought running battles on after students protested over the erratic water supply.

The students set fire on the road leading to the main campus, while others attempted to block the Great North Road with logs in protest.

Mulungushi University vice-chancellor Hellicy N’gambi, who confirmed the closure of the university, said the closure was aimed at saving lives and preventing an outbreak of water-borne diseases.Screen Shot 2014-11-25 at 11.29.11 Screen Shot 2014-11-25 at 11.29.22 Screen Shot 2014-11-25 at 11.30.06
