The Patriotic Front says the recently held Katuba parliamentary by election has revealed that the party has gained significant ground while the UPND margin has critically eroded.
In yesterday’s Katuba by elections, the UPND emerged winners with their candidate Aubrey Kapalasa amassing 8, 727 votes while PF’s Zacks Mwachilele poured 7, 024.
PF Secretary General, Davis Mwila says although the result of the Katuba election may have marginally gone against the ruling party, the trend is hugely in their favor and against the UPND.
Addressing the media in Lusaka this morning, Mr. Mwila explains that while it may appear on the surface that the pf has lost the election, the truth is that it has gained momentum.
Mr. Mwila says this shift also shows that the pf will in 2021 retain all the seats in Lusaka.
And Mr. Mwila says the PF’s victory in ward by elections in Mangango and Kanabulimbu ward of Kaoma district shows a wind of change in opposition strongholds.
