PF says will launch campaigns on May 14

After suffering defections from key members of the party, the PF has made a haste decision to launch its campaigns. Yesterday, Mulenga, son of the party’s founding president Michael Sata, ditched the PF to join the opposition UPND.

in reaction, the PF  says will kick off its official 2016 campaigns on 14th May, 2016, at Lusaka’s Heroes Stadium.
PF Secretary General Davies Chama said ‘we are taking the Party to the people where it belongs. Our party is a party for the poor. It doesn’t belong in Hotels and Lodges. It is in townships” Chama said.

He says the PF  will fill the 60,000 seat capacity Heroes Stadium to demonstrate it’s strength, it’s history and determination to lead the country in leaders and not followers, to be the party of the people and not elites.

Chama said  that outgoing president Edgar Lungu, and members of the Central Committee will lead the launch.

“The party is also expected to receive special endorsement from a variety of surprise political heavy weights. The party has also invited Diplomats, former Presidents, former Cabinet Ministers and other dignitaries to witness this historical Mega Rally,” Chama said.
