PF spends more than K16,790 per day on Christine Kaseba’s stay at Lodge

Screen Shot 2015-05-28 at 11.34.10 The bankrupt PF government is spending  more than K16,790 per day on Former First Lady Dr. Christine Kaseba’s stay at Number 8 Reedbuck Exclusive Lodge in Lusaka’s Kabulonga area since she moved out of State House.

Dr. Kaseba has occupied all the 10 plush rooms at Reedbuck Lodge each going at US$230 per room which is US2300 per day or at the current exchange rate amounts to K16,790 per day on rooms only, which is more expensive than the cost at Hotel Inter-Continental.

The place is normally crowded with all sorts of characters making the daily bill roughly more that K20,000.

And she has taken all her security detail, workers, drivers, etc all paid for by the PF government.

No former first lady such as Vera Chiluba, Maureen Mwanawasa are currently enjoying anything near these conditions.

All these excessive expensese come at a time the Zambian government is failing to pay civil servants on time while donors such as Sweden are feeling pity on Zambia’s health sector.

Kaseba is also the only first lady in the history of Zambian to have had her own budget expenditure line while in State House.
