I dont blame the police for what is happening at this point of time, i blame the TOP-RANKS in the police service for they are involved in the act of surpporting and favouring a party, which is leaving police powerless over caders, there are soldiers and police on boaders, can anyone tell me, in whos name are those Military weapons and and suits coming in ? at this point of time i dont care even joining a label group coz there is no discrimation or corruption, now joining the Military or Poilce, its by connection……. so even if they beat you, its useless to some of us coz youre all corrup…..

Police should own responsibility for all the ongoing lawlessness and lay blame on themselves for the lost confidence between police and the ordinary Zambians! Police find it very easy to arrest and persecute members of the public who try to uphold the dictates of the law in their daily activities and interactions. However when unfavorable situations arise the by stander is most likely to be detained by the police! I still harbor hope that Zambia will one day have a leader who will enhance professionalism among all our uniformed institutions to better serve and protect the people and being totally loyal to Zambia only in discharging their duties!

This political violence being carried out by the PF cadres knows no limits and soon even those who are in the forefront encouraging or organizing such activities will find themselves being victims as well. Cadres or malitias have no rules of engagement, the get instructions from any one who can satisfy their egoes that is all. As much I have never liked the bahaviour of Ama America but beating him like that is a bad sign of ugly things to come. The police can manage to maintain peace and order or ensure peaceful environment if people behave a civilian manner and respect he rule of law. The police are in for tough time when campaigns gain momentum after desolution of parliament.
