PF thugs transported from Lusaka this morning beat-up a Muvi TV reporter Loyd Kapusa who was covering the arrival of PF candidate Edgar Lungu.
As Kapusa was filming Mongu residents welcoming Lungu while waving UPND symbols along Independence Road, the thugs from Lusaka bundled him in the van and threatened to dump him in the plains and accused him of being a UPND cadre.
At Kapulange and Blue Nile, residents lined-up crates and bottles of beer with Lungu’s portraits while shouting ‘chakolwa chakolwa’.
That incensed the PF thugs from Lusaka and bundled the Muvi TV reporter and later took him to the police where they wanted him arrested for conducted likely to cause breach of peace.
Lungu and Inonge Wina are on a campaign trail in Mongu and scheduled for a rally this afternoon, a territory where the PF has arrested number of Barotse activists.
Lungu is likely to dupe the Lozis that he will make Wina the republican vice-president once he wins next year, but that position has also been promised for Chiefs and Traditional Affairs Minister Nkandu Luo, who wants to install his elder brother Chief Chewe as the new Chitimukulu.
