We earlier reported that President Lungu wants to force soldiers and their dependants to vote for him. Today, Copperbelt permanent Secretary Howard Sikwela will address a meeting in Kalewa barracks in Ndola.
To disguise the motive, it has been arranged that they take two graders there and launch some works. During the commissioning, all soldiers and their dependants have been ordered to attend the address.
A State house source has told the Watchdog that Lungu has released K200,000 for the exercise. The money will be used to buy some food for the launch and also pay some few senior officers.
“Tomorrow they are taking graders there to launch some works but all along there was nothing happening so this is just a scheme after you guys exposed them. In fact a directive has been sent through the PS and the Brigade commander for the region to ensure that all their spouses and dependants attend the address. After Kalewa they will go to other barracks in the country as well as police camps,” said the source.
