PF-UPND pact double-headed snake, says PF MP

PAMBASHE member of Parliament Bernard Chishya (PF) has compared the PF-UPND pact to a double-headed snake locally known as chilingalinga.
Dr Chishya said in Parliament on Wednesday evening that although the snake is double-headed, its heads do not coordinate.
He said some opposition leaders who are accusing Government of being intolerant are worse off.
“In 2001, there was a by-election in Chawama and people were hacked.
Some people who were commanding the hacking are now masquerading as presidents of certain political parties,” Dr Chishya said.
He was contributing to debate on the 2010 national budget.
Dr Chishya said without good leadership, it is difficult to implement a well-intended budget.
He said Zambians are only interested in peace and national development and not anarchy.
