The UPND/PF pact says it is not moved by those celebrating the recent confusion surrounding the fielding of separate candidates in local government by-elections in Kaoma and Chadiza.
PF Spokesperson who is also pact co-spokesperson Given Lubinda says they acknowledge the mistake in filing of nominations for local government ward by-elections in Kaoma and Chandiza attributing this TO miscommunication and misunderstandings in the entire process.
In an interview with QFM, MR Lubinda says the pact does not mind what the ruling MMD does or thinks about the recent confusion in the pact.
Mr. Lubinda says those who want to make merry about this confusion will not be stopped but that the credibility of the PF/UPND pact will be calculated on how will rise to the challenge of its present predicament.
He adds that the strength of the pact will only be measured by the fact that it has realized its problem and is willing to work on that.
He says the PF/UPND pact will not be measured by the failure that it has recently encountered but by how it will pick up its pieces after this.
He says both parties are very much willing to put a lasting solution to such happenings in the future.
Mr Lubinda has also revealed that a comprehensive statement arising from an emergency meeting that was called yesterday between the two party leaderships will be made public in the next 48 hours.
