PF cadre and UNZA lecturer Alex Ng’oma has admitted that the victory by the ruling party in Mansa shows regional voting.
Ngoma, who was once caught trying to steal ballot papers on behalf of the PF also observed that the victory is also a wakeup call for the opposition. He said despite the internal wrangles… in the ruling party, the opposition is still weak in Luapula Province.
He said it is for this reason that the opposition political parties should market themselves more in areas where they are not very popular and areas that are considered to be stronghold of the PF.
On the other hand, Ngoma insisted that the by-election is a clear indication that regional politics are still at play in Zambia.
He said the PF should also campaign in arrears they are not wanted if the regional politics that are being practiced in the country are to be changed.
Ng’oma further said that it was long predicted that the PF would win the Mansa Central by-election because the area is already its strong hold of regional voting.
