Former Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba says PF will be consumed in the wind of change that is fast spreading across the country if the internal wrangles’ persists in the governing party.
Speaking in his home-town, Mwamba said the current infighting in PF is not healthy and will cost the party dearly in 2016 general elections.
He said it is only people like PF member Willie Nsanda who are failing to read the changing political mood in the country.
Mwamba said this in reaction to callers who said UPND is taking the country by storm when the Kasama lawmaker appeared on Radio Mano for a phone-in program.
Mwamba charged that in the same way former president Rupiah Banda is facing court charges, some PF members who are amassing wealth dubiously will also be prosecuted once there is a change of government.
He charged that some PF officials have acquired wealth fraudulently and were using the same resources to fight him.
Mwamba accused some Provincial PF executive officials in Kasama of wasting their time and energy by fighting him over baseless issues.
He said he is ready to be expelled from PF and dared his enemies to go ahead with their evil intention.
Mwamba however vowed to defeat the PF pants down if a bye-election is called in Kasama Central Constituency.
Meanwhile, Mwamba rebuffed accusations from PF that he is sponsoring Alliance for Better Zambia president Fr. Frank Bwalya to attack the PF government on its failed promises to Zambians.
He said instead PF must be grateful to Fr. Bwalya for his voluntary service to the party during and after the 2011 general elections.
Mwamba prodded members of the governing party to stop telling lies about one another, which have become the order of the day.
