PF’s Lungu has done nothing for rural areas – Chief

A tradition leader says President Edgar Lungu and his party, the Patriotic Front, have done nothing to improve lives of Zambians especially in rural areas.

Sub Chief Kafola of the Chishinga people in Chibote area of Kawambwa district in Luapula Province says there is nothing that President Lungu can and should be boasting about as almost all the projects being undertaken today were late President Michael Sata’s initiatives.

Speaking at his house at Chibote Mission, the traditional leader complained of lacking fixed, permanent and official residence as he has been relocated several times.

The Sub Chief with 68 village headmen and women further asked politicians to look at the plight of traditional leaders and those citizens in rural areas.

Sub Chief Kafola said this when UPND Vice President Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba paid a courtesy call on him on Monday afternoon as he (Mr. Mwamba) was on a campaign tour of the province.

And addressing a crowd that gathered at Chibote Mission, Mr. Mwamba asked people to reject the ruling PF come 11 August 2016 for failure to provide basic needs to the people.

Mr. Mwamba who is UPND Presidential Running Mate under the 2016 amended Constitution said evidence of the PF’s fiasco can be seen in all parts of the country a thing he describes as unfortunate.

The opposition leader is in Luapula Province in his nation-wide campaign trail ahead of the 2016 August General Election.
