PF,UPND members defect to MMD

Over 700 members from the Patriotic Front (PF) and United Party for National Development (UPND) in Lusaka’s Kabwata and Chilenje areas have defected to the ruling Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD).
A representative of the UPND defectors Juliana Kambela said the defections have been motivated by the passion to save Zambia from being in the wrong hands.
She charged that UPND President Hakainde Hichilema cannot develop the nation as he has no capacity to do so.
Kambela likened her former party to an intensive care unit as she believes UPND has lost the vision of its late leader Anderson Mazoka since Hichilema became its President.
Meanwhile, PF representative Patrick Emmerson advised citizens not to listen to party head Michael Sata and the Post Newspaper as they have nothing to offer this country.
