Zambia National Women’s Lobby Group (ZNWL) Chairperson Beauty Phiri has condemned Movement for Multi –party Democracy (MMD) Spokesperson Dora Siliya for discussing her bedroom issues on a political platform.
Phiri was quoted by Hot FM radio saying it is sad that Siliya told voters in Petauke that she chased her husband because he could not satisfy her in bed, adding that such behavior is unacceptable form a leader.
She said the MMD spokesperson being a woman is not supposed to utter such statements as it is a taboo in the African society. Phiri noted that though her organization champions for female rights, issues of the bedroom must be kept secret at all times.
The Lobby Chairperson challenged Siliya to come out in the open and tell the nation the truth behind the statements she is alleged to have uttered during her campaign trail.
Siliya, who is also MMD aspiring candidate for Petauke could not comment on the matter when contacted by the press.
