Almost 51 years after independence, the people of Kalabo are using a hand-drawn pontoon to cross the Luanginga river. An engine powered pontoon costs very little money, yet, Inonge Wina has today alone distributed more than K200, 000 bribing voters on the other side of Barotseland. A huge delegation of PF ministers and other officials led by vice-president Wina is in Bartoseland campaigning in a local government by-election. The money these people are wasting on accommodation, fuel, allowances etc is enough not only to buy a proper pontoon but to construct a bridge here.
