While the Zimbabweans have done a fantastic job and worked on all the roads in the town that will co-host the UNWTO, as can be seen here, the Zambia side is a mess. The first of the pictures below is the one of the main roads in Livingstone. It joins Mosi-oa-Tunya road at the inter-section of NAPSA building, AutoWorld, Spar Shopping Mall and Livingstone Museum. The tarmac on the road is less than a week but as can be seen has already started melting off as marks can be seen caused by motor vehicle tyres. This road had the old road material recycled using cement and tar last week.
The second picture shows shows the Road contractor hired by the PF working on Mosi-oa-Tunya road ahead of UNTWO Conference. The contractor is recycling the old condemned JICA road material which experts say will not last.
Just check the difference in terms of cleanness between the Zimbabwean town here and Livingstone in Zambia.
