This lodge is owned by Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja.

It has 14 Chalets and is on the banks of the Lunga River in Mwinilunga in Northwestern Province.

It is being constructed by some Chinese and All finishing materials are supplied by the same Chinese. One on them is the owner of Higer Buses in Lusaka. This is one of the Chinese whom Kanganja ordained as Assistant Commissioner of Police.

Only God knows where the money came from but if it’s citizens money then soon or later those buildings will bring more harm in the future than good.if the money is clean, praise be to the almighty God coz jobs Wil be created.remember chiluba’s buildings ‘re still being grabbed frm his sons up to now but the man is long gone.there is too much couption in this country such that even praising someone is becoming difficult coz it’s only God who can c beyond the human eye.

Kanganja is being proactive because like any sane proactive individual, he knows that tomorrow won’t be as today. In enterprenuership,we are taught that life is a quadrant. There are people that remain in the employment quater the rest of their useful lives without Regard to the fact that the energy they now have won’t always be there. So Kanganja has shifted into the investment quarter so that even when formal employment has come to an end, there should be no stress brought up my the spiral effects of losing regular monthly income. He is running away from the poverty quarter of dependence syndrome of being employed. So if the reporter thought what Kanganja is doing is loathsome, he or she is dead wrong. I encourage all police officers to ask the boss how to think ahead and on this score an humbly requesting Superior police command to consider introducing enteuprenuership lessons to officers. Finally may I say keep it up son of the soil and God bless you. I rest my thoughts….

Ba Watchdog naimwe you are so useless at times, you mean the man with his status in society can fail to build such a structure?Talk about real issues not what you are telling us,Even junior officers in government can build a huge lodge if they are focused.Grow up!!

DOES IT MEAN WHEN ONE WORKS IN GOVT HE CANT ENGAGE IN COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES? PEOPLE NEED TO PLAN FOR THEIR RETIREMENTS WELL IN ADVANCE. IN ADDITION THE GENTLEMAN HAS TAKEN DEVELOPMENT TO HIS HOME TOWN UNLIKE SOME OF US WHO ARE JUST BUILDING TO MA SMALL HOUSES IN MEANWOOD, CHALALA ETC. KEEP IT UP A SODA. EAST – WEST HOME IS THE BEST.

The other day I saw a clip of a dilapidated police station in Mufumbwe. Go to many a police station in Zambian and you will be shocked. The most common answer is that Police have not transport to follow up cases. So all the money has gone to allowances for bosses to erect lodges. What a system

Yes investment initiatives like this lodge built by our IG bring development and create employment but if they are erected using public funds intended for the common good of citizens, then they should not be encouraged. So it is not about ‘building yours’and taking development to your area at whatever cost even using funds obtained through dishonest and selfish means.
